What do we mean by feminist art? We approach feminist art inclusively as any art exploring, navigating, or challenging feminist themes and issues and/or art that is feminist through the means of its creation and production. By this, we mean that we aim to showcase art by feminists who might not otherwise have the means or access to display their work in traditional gallery spaces. We aim to encourage the participation of hobby, amateur, or non-professional artists, and artists who may not normally seek out opportunities to exhibit their work. Our goal is to break down barriers between hobby artists and gallery spaces.

All woman-identified or non-binary/gender non-conforming people are encouraged to submit pieces; we also welcome men whose work takes on feminist themes or issues. Anyone who currently lives in Newfoundland or once called Newfoundland home is welcome to apply to showcase their work.
